The Vilcabamba mountain range is located in the western part of the Department of Cusco. It is approximately 85 km long and joins a large variety of landscapes, including snow-capped peaks, which stand in sharp contrast to the tropical vegetation. However, nature is not the only attraction of the area, because the Incas left a fabulous legacy in an astonishing network of trails built of stone. We invite you to discover these footpaths for 11 days, traveling from lost cities like Choquequirao and Machu Picchu to little-known Inca vestiges locked away in the subtropical forest – all of them mute witnesses to a glorious past. Good hiking!
